3 years ago, everything changed.
Martin Herrera, founder of Urban Goods, built more than a sneaker store. He built a community. Through Urban Goods, thousands of sneakers were given away to less fortune children heading back to school. Every winter, shoes were distributed to men and women experiencing homelessness. For the last 6 years, giving back wasn't a marketing strategy—it was a mission.
Then, overnight, it was gone.
Urban Goods was burglarized, and the loss was devastating. Years of hard work, inventory, and dreams disappeared in a single night. To this day, Martin still has nearly 200 sneakers that serves as a reminder of that painful experience. The burglars took only one shoe from each pair, leaving behind incomplete sneakers and a heartbreaking memory of what was lost.
For many people, that would have been the end of the story.
But God had other plans.
What the enemy meant for evil, God turned into something greater.
During the years that followed, Martin stepped into a new season of purpose. He joined the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP), where he had the opportunity to mentor and lead men in prison aspiring to be entrepreneurs. Drawing from the lessons he learned while building Urban Goods, Martin taught business principles, character development, leadership, and perseverance to men preparing for a second chance at life.
What seemed like a setback became a ministry.
God used Martin's pain to help others discover hope.
Yet deep inside, the passion for sneakers never left.
One shoe at a time, one paycheck at a time, Martin began rebuilding. Over two years of saving, working, and trusting God, the vision slowly came back to life. What started as a dream became a reality once again.
But this time, there would be a new name and a greater purpose.
Kingdom Kickz was born.
More than just a sneaker store, Kingdom Kickz represents restoration, faith, and purpose. It's a place where Kingdom values meet sneaker culture. A place where looking fresh doesn't mean compromising your faith. A place where style and purpose walk hand in hand.
The message is simple:
You can stay fly, stay fresh, and still stand for God.
Today, Kingdom Kickz is still growing. The road ahead is long, but Martin knows that with God, all things are possible. His journey stands as proof that no setback is final, no loss is too great, and no dream is beyond restoration.
Kingdom Kickz is more than a business.
It's a testimony.
It's proof that God can rebuild what was broken.
It's proof that second chances are real.
And it's proof that the comeback is always greater than the setback.
When you support Kingdom Kickz, you're supporting more than a sneaker store. You're supporting a mission, a testimony, and a vision to impact lives through faith, community, and culture.
Martin wants everyone who reads this to remember one thing:
No matter what you've lost, no matter what you've been through, and no matter how impossible things may seem right now—you can come back from anything with God.
The comeback is greater than the setback.
